How do I handle admin turnover?
When the admin user who installed or configured the app needs to be made inactive, you may need to update some settings in Mailchimp for Salesforce.
- Change the Salesforce Sync User
- Change the connected accounts' Salesforce record owner
- Reschedule any Import Wizards run as the user
- Reschedule the license job in Scheduled jobs (see below)
Reassigning scheduled jobs: It is possible that the Mailchimp Licence scheduled job is set to run as the inactive admin. You can update this easily.
- Login as the correct admin
- In setup, search for Scheduled Jobs
- Find the job Mailchimp License and confirm it is submitted by the inactive user
- Click Manage and then Reschedule Job, without changing any settings.
Note: When possible, we will record Maintenance logs (or send notification emails) to warn of inactive users.
