Which email is used when creating new contacts

If you choose to create new contacts or leads in Salesforce from Mailchimp data, the mappings table specifies which email field should store the newMailchimp member's subscribed email. The standard Email field is the most common, but your custom email fields may be used as well.

If you use Salesforce's Duplication Rules in your org for other purposes, please note:

1. The standard rules refer to only the standard Email. Custom rules may be needed, depending on your use.

2. Duplication rules on records are created or updated by our integation should never be set to Alert or Block. These may fail silently.
