I am having trouble connecting my Mailchimp Account, what can I do?

When you complete the connection between Mailchimp and Salesforce, you are typically redirected back to Salesforce automatically without any issues.

However, if you have access to multiple Salesforce orgs, use a custom domain or SSO, you may instead be redirected to the Salesforce login page. In that case, you’ll have a brief window to manually enter your username and password.

Some orgs may see a 'URL not found' error instead of reaching the Salesforce login screen, instead. Your original Salesforce session remains active and can still be used, there are two workarounds.

Option 1 Incognito mode (no session cookies stored)

  1. Open an incognito browser.
  2. Log into your Salesforce org.
  3. Log into Mailchimp directly.
  4. Connect to Mailchimp as per the instructions.

Option 2 Redirecting to your current login

As redirecting the login URL has a few more moving parts, we have a visual guide here - https://app.arcade.software/share/D7MHaLiYEFwk0a7f0G9j or use the steps below.

  1. Log into your Salesforce org (sandbox or production)
  2. Copy the URL of just the domain (https://yourdomain.lightning.force.com or similar)
  3. Connect to Mailchimp as per the instructions
  4. When you get to the Salesforce login step, paste that domain from step 2 in place of the test.salesforce.com or login.salesforce.com in the URL. Keep everything after .com, including the slash.
  5. Click Enter

This will use your current logged-in session instead of asking you to authenticate a new session, which could lead to the time out or that URL failure.

If that doesn't work, repeat the steps in an incognito or private browsing session.
