Can I create contacts or leads from new Mailchimp members?

Typically, records are created in Salesforce and pushed to Mailchimp using our Data Wizard.

However, it is also possible for the sync to create Salesforce Contacts or Leads based on incoming Mailchimp data. You can find more information, including an interactive walkthrough, in our Field Mapping guide.

Notes:

• Verify you are matching on all the emails you need, so you aren't inserting duplicate records. Our matching rules can include any or all email fields on contact, leads or person accounts.
• You can choose to create a lead, contact or person account. If you create a contact, you can also choose to match or create an account. 
• When you have a create rule enabled, that object's mapping will include a Create Only checkbox. Check this to only use the mapping when creating a new Salesforce record. If checked, we won't overwrite existing contacts, etc with that data. 
• You can also set defaults for newly created records. 
• Be sure to validate your setup with Preview Mapping Rules.
