I installed Emma for Salesforce but I can't see the app. Which permission set do I need?

Emma for Salesforce has no separate login. It runs inside Salesforce, and it shows in the App Launcher only after an Emma permission set is assigned.

On a new install, Emma Admin is assigned to the person who installed the package, or to the Sync User if a scheduled sync job already exists. Emma Standard is assigned to active users whose profile can already read the Emma subscriber list. That assign does not run again on upgrade, and a failed assign is only written to the log.

Assign the permission sets

1. Open Permission Sets.

In Setup, search for Permission Sets.

2. Assign Emma Admin.

Assign Emma Admin to people who manage Emma, and to the Sync User. The Sync User needs Emma Admin.

3. Assign Emma Standard.

Assign Emma Standard to everyone else who uses Emma. They should then see Emma in the App Launcher.

If an import says it worked but the contacts are missing in Emma, check Maintenance Logs in Emma Settings for the reason.
