Can I display the Campaign Name instead of Email Subject in the Emma Mailing History component?

When reviewing Emma mailing history on a Contact record, the Email Subject is shown by default. But for many teams, the internal Campaign Name from Emma is a more meaningful reference, especially when multiple sends share similar subject lines or when your sales team needs context rather than copy.

The Emma Mailing History component now includes a configurable Display Field property, letting admins choose which value is shown without any re-sync or data changes required.

The Solution

The new Display Field property is configured directly in Lightning App Builder on any page where the Emma Mailing History (or Email Activity Classic) component is placed:

  1. Navigate to the Contact or Lead record page where the Emma Mailing History component appears.
  2. Click the Setup gear and select Edit Page to open Lightning App Builder.
  3. Click on the Emma Mailing History component to open its property panel.
  4. Locate the Display Field property and select either:
    • Email Subject (default) - shows the subject line as sent to recipients
    • Campaign Name - shows the internal Emma campaign name
  5. Click Save and Activate the page if prompted.

Both values are always synced from Emma, so the toggle only affects what is rendered in the UI. No re-sync, additional permissions, or package reconfiguration is required. The same property is also available on the Email Activity (Classic) component.
