Can I stop draft events syncing to Salesforce?

Yes. Turn on Exclude Draft Events in Sync Settings and the sync will skip any Eventbrite event that is still in Draft. No Eventbrite Event, Ticket Class or Campaign records are created for it, so test events and abandoned drafts stay out of Salesforce.

To turn it on, open the Eventbrite Settings tab, go to Sync Settings and tick Exclude Draft Events under Event Import Settings. It is off by default and applies from the next sync.

What happens when a draft is published:

The event is imported on the first sync after it goes live. If auto-create Campaigns is on, its Campaign is created then too.

Things to know:

• Draft events already in Salesforce are left as they are, and no Campaign is auto-created for them while the setting is on. You can delete them by hand and they won't come back while they are still drafts.

• Scheduled syncs, Sync Now and Full Eventbrite Sync all respect the setting.

• Copy Event and refreshing a single event in Salesforce still import the event you're working on, even if it's a draft.

• Draft events can't have attendees, so this setting doesn't affect your billing.

Note: If you unpublish an event in Eventbrite, it goes back to Draft and the sync stops updating it. Its Salesforce record and Campaign keep their last synced details.
