Working with custom profiles

Users with a custom Salesforce profile may not be able see the objects in Eventbrite for Salesforce even with our permission set assigned. The issue is often permission-related due to missing Salesforce profile settings required for managed packages.

Initial Troubleshooting Steps

1. Test with a Standard Salesforce Profile:

Change the affected user’s profile to a standard Salesforce profile (e.g., “Standard User”) and assign the Eventbrite for Salesforce standard permission set.

If the user can now see the object, the issue is with the custom profile’s missing permissions.

2. Review Custom Profile Permissions:

If the test confirms a permissions issue, follow these steps to fix it:

1. Go to Setup > Profiles.

2. Select the custom profile used by affected users.

3. Click Edit.

4. Under System Permissions, check View Setup and Configuration and Manage Package License.

5. Click Save.

Verifying the Fix

Have the user log out and back in after updating the permissions.

Confirm they can now see the Eventbrite object.
