Working with custom profiles
Users with a custom Salesforce profile may not be able see the objects in Eventbrite for Salesforce even with our permission set assigned. The issue is often permission-related due to missing Salesforce profile settings required for managed packages.
Initial Troubleshooting Steps
1. Test with a Standard Salesforce Profile:
• Change the affected user’s profile to a standard Salesforce profile (e.g., “Standard User”) and assign the Eventbrite for Salesforce standard permission set.
• If the user can now see the object, the issue is with the custom profile’s missing permissions.
2. Review Custom Profile Permissions:
If the test confirms a permissions issue, follow these steps to fix it:
1. Go to Setup > Profiles.
2. Select the custom profile used by affected users.
3. Click Edit.
4. Under System Permissions, check View Setup and Configuration and Manage Package License.
5. Click Save.
Verifying the Fix
• Have the user log out and back in after updating the permissions.
• Confirm they can now see the Eventbrite object.
