Data can be mapped in both directions using a combination of our Data Wizard and Mappings settings.

Data Wizard

• Pushes data from Salesforce to Mailchimp.
• Can be scheduled to run automatically on a recurring basis.
• Can create new Mailchimp members and update existing ones with the latest field data.

We recommend applying a filter on your data source so that only recently modified Salesforce records are included. For more information on the Data Wizard please click here.

Mappings (Mailchimp to Salesforce)

• Pushes data from Mailchimp into Salesforce.
• Runs as part of the primary sync, which by default runs every hour.
• Can update existing Salesforce records with data from Mailchimp.

Important notes:

• Test this solution thoroughly in a sandbox first.
• There is no conflict resolution built into this setup, so carefully consider the timing of each direction to avoid records overwriting each other.
• When first implementing, run the sync once from your source of truth to the other system (so both are aligned) before enabling the reverse direction.
