Can I prevent Opportunity records from being created for free events?

Yes! If your Eventbrite account handles a mix of paid and free events, you can use the Opportunity Price Filter to prevent zero-value Opportunity records from being created.

To set this up:

  • Navigate to Eventbrite Settings, then Mappings
  • Click the Opportunities tab and Edit
  • Click the Filter button
  • Enter 0.01 in Filter by Gross Amount
  • Click OK
  • Be sure to Save!

This tells the integration to only create Opportunity records when the order value meets or exceeds that threshold. Free event orders (with a value of $0.00) will be skipped, while paid ticket and donation orders will continue to generate Opportunities as normal.

Note that this is a global setting — it applies to all events synced by the integration. There is no way to enable or disable Opportunity creation on a per-event basis.

If you want to disable Opportunity creation entirely (for all events, regardless of price), you can toggle off the Auto Create Opportunity setting next to the Filter button.
