FAQs
Will enabling MFA in Campaign Monitor affect the integration if already connected?
No, enabling MFA in Campaign Monitor won't affect your existing connection to Salesforce.
When Campaign Monitor connects to Salesforce, it uses OAuth, a secure handshake that authorizes the connection once and keeps it active with an ongoing token. It doesn't depend on a stored username and password the way a regular login does. So turning on MFA for your Campaign Monitor account afterward doesn't interrupt anything, there's no login step for the connection to run into.
The Campaign Monitor tab in Salesforce will also keep working as normal, since it uses that same authorized connection rather than requiring each user to log in individually.
Note: If you ever fully disconnect and reconnect Campaign Monitor (not required just for turning on MFA), you'll authenticate on the Campaign Monitor side as usual, MFA included.
