FAQs

Why aren't my scheduled flows sending transactional emails?

Scheduled flows run in the context of one of two specific users. That users' permissions and sharing access control what the flow can do. Those users are:

  • The Default Workflow User, which is one of your licensed users.
  • If that licensed user is inactive or not set, it falls back to a special system user called the Automated Process User (alias "autoproc").

The autoproc user can't be assiged permission sets or different profiles in the UX. Therefore, they can't trigger our code to send transactional emails. To avoid this, please assign a licensed Salesforce user to the Default Workflow User setting, in Setup> Process Automation Settings. See Salesforce documentation for more info.
