FAQs

How do I work with Campaign Monitor campaign tags?

Campaign Monitor tags allow you to organize and sort your draft and sent email campaigns. By applying one or more tags to a campaign, you can categorize your email campaigns into multiple groups, for example, campaign type or subscriber segment. More on Campaign Monitor campaign tags.

We automatically sync these tags to our Campaign Monitor Campaign record for you, storing them in a picklist called Tags and displaying them on our custom Campaign Monitor Campaign page.

Mapping to Salesforce Campaigns

If you are creating and keeping Salesforce campaigns in sync with Campaign Monitor campaigns, we also update a custom field on Salesforce Campaigns called Tags. The integration will automatically update tags as needed when the primary sync runs. You can include this field in your Salesforce Campaign reports or page layouts as needed.

Filtering Salesforce Campaign creation by tag

You can also use tags to filter which Campaign Monitor campaigns are used to create Salesforce campaigns. This is useful if you only want Salesforce campaign data maintained for a single marketing segment or program.

The filter is available when you have campaign auto-create enabled in the Campaign Settings page of the CM Settings tab.  https://jmp.sh/4tCd7aNj
