Does changing an email address in Salesforce update Mailchimp?

In short if you change an email address in Salesforce we will update the corresponding record in Mailchimp.  Here are few things to note:

  1. This only works on the contact, lead, and account (person) objects.
  2. This works from the standard Salesforce email field or any email field mapped from Salesforce to Mailchimp in Mappings.
  3. The person needs to be active in Mailchimp.
  4. Their Mailchimp Membership record in Salesforce needs to be linked to the Salesforce record you are changing.
  5. If the person is active on multiple audiences we will attempt to update them all.
  6. This can't be run in bulk; only updates on single records will work, due to a limitation on the Mailchimp API.
