Can I add the membership component to any object?

The membership component is typically, and in most cases automatically, added to the Contact and Lead page layouts. However, you can add it to any standard or custom object page layout. It will display Mailchimp audience membership records based on any email address field within that object, specifically:

• The field has a data type of email.
• The field contains a value.
• That email exists in Mailchimp.

The corresponding membership details will be displayed within the component if the above is correct.

Note—Although you can add the component, it has a limitation. You cannot manage a person’s membership through the component. This feature only works on the Contact or Lead page layouts. The membership management button will not appear on any other object.
