A Salesforce report used by the Data Wizard cannot return more than 50,000 rows. Current versions check the row count before the import starts, stop the job and show MC4SF_WIZARD_REPORT_TOO_LARGE. Older versions fail with System.LimitException: reports:Too many query rows: 50001. To get past it, make the report smaller or switch the wizard to a different source.
Get the first load in
• Split the report. Add a date filter, such as Created Date or Last Modified Date, so each report stays under 50,000 rows. Run one wizard per report until the first load is done.
• Use a List View or SOQL. The Data Wizard pages through those sources, so they have no 50,000 row limit. A report source cannot go past 50,000 rows.
• Import the first load by CSV. Export from Salesforce and import the file in Mailchimp. This is often the quickest path for a very large audience.
Keep later runs small
After the first load, filter the report, List View or SOQL query on Last Modified Date so each run only sends records that changed.
Note: If the wizard cannot count the report rows, a report job can still hit the 50,000 row exception. The same split, or a change of source, fixes it.
A very large List View or SOQL import can also fail with INVALID_QUERY_LOCATOR when the run goes on too long. Make each run smaller with a Last Modified Date filter.
