Why Paying a Little Means Gaining a Lot
Our Mailchimp for Salesforce product launched earlier this year. Shortly after it became Mailchimp official solution replacing their free offering. Hundreds of companies have already made the switch with new customers joining every day. Customer feedback has been extremely positive along with a glowing review from Salesforce Ben.
But you might be asking
Who we are
Firstly, we are a completely independent company separate from Salesforce and Mailchimp. More specifically, we are integration experts who have been part of the Salesforce ecosystem for around twenty years—most of that as a Salesforce ISV. We are proud to have been selected to build the official integrations for Dropbox, Campaign Monitor, Emma, and Eventbrite. Mailchimp is our latest close partnership offering.

What is involved
Creating and maintaining a robust integration is a lot of hard work. Our Mailchimp for Salesforce is a native solution, which is the best option for many as it sits securely within your Salesforce environment. To achieve this, we undergo an official Salesforce review process, which is costly and time-consuming, and we are re-reviewed typically once a year.
Our goal is to make the product easy to use and low-cost. To do that we have invested heavily in our own business, people, and processes. Both support and development are handled in-house to provide you with the best possible experience. We operate a follow-the-sun model with team members from the UK, UAE, and US. Before launching, we spent about a year developing, testing, and beta testing with our partners (many thanks to you all). In short, we go to extreme lengths to make our product the best.
We strive to make the product the best possible within the constraints of working between two large and powerful platforms. It is always worth remembering that we don’t just improve the product based on customer feedback. Salesforce has 3 major releases per year. And lots of minor ones. Our partners improve their APIs, so we are never short of something to do. As of this writing, we’ve added support for the recently announced Agentforce via invocable actions on top of the 50 releases we have completed in just the last six months.
Understanding the Pricing
To keep things fair, we’ve set the starting price at US$25 per month for up to ten thousand active Mailchimp subscribers. We’ve chosen a tiered approach because it’s fair and based on usage This is a site license, not a seat license. If you’ve been using the old integration and want to switch, get in touch. We’ve worked with our friends at Mailchimp to offer some attractive discounts.
As most of you know, we’ve always supported Salesforce non-profits across all our products, our Mailchimp integration is no different, offering a 10% discount. While on non-profits, we have worked hard to ensure our product works with npsp and the nonprofit cloud, for example, offering support for multiple custom email addresses. To further support non-profits, we were thrilled to have Barbara Christensen join our team earlier this year.
An often-overlooked point on pricing is that when we charge US$25, it’s not the amount we receive. Salesforce takes a substantial 15%, and Stripe charges around 2% on the total US$25. Of course, the number will go even lower if we have a discount. It's not a lot when you divide what’s left across a month and consider what our company receives before operational costs, company taxes, and team member salaries.
What You Can Expect Moving Forward
Over the last decade, we have been known for our excellence—delivering good products with great support. Salesforce, those partners we talked about earlier, has recognized this, which is why we are the trusted official solution. We’ve already released many updates and plan to add more in the coming months. Unlike other apps, we are the official Mailchimp solution, which means we partner directly with their development team. A couple of recent changes we’ve made wouldn’t have been possible without their help.
